OCW Finder

Every so often I get the almost irresistable itch to write some code… Oishii! was my most recent attempt until today. So I’m happy to announce the OpenCourseWare Finder, a remix of the succulent delicious director that lets you interactively browse/search OpenCourseWare materials from several schools. I’d love to hear what you think about it…

  • Really excellent. As with U of Tokyo’s MIMA Search, it seems like a limitation is in developing a robust set of tags. It looks like you are pulling course title, school and department information to generate the tags (at least for MIT OCW content). I think I see additional tagging on content from other schools, though. Thoughts on scalable tagging for ocws? Is it not feasible to parse out the keywords in the MIT content?
