On 16-17th February 2005, NIME had the first GLOBE-NIME international seminar in order to disseminate the concept of GLOBE and to clarify common issues in the sharing and reuse of digital learning resources with Japanese and overseas partners. On 15-16th February 2006, NIME had the second seminar which focused on the technical issues toward building the new international services.
The main theme of the next (third) seminar is on the business models for the sustainable accumulation and distribution. From the world, leading experts and practitioners will gather, share the knowledge and experiences for the sustainability on their innovative and original models. While some focus on the materials (i.e. learning object), others do on standardized courseware. While some orient to open educational resources, others do to proprietary digital marketplace.
